Our excursions (called Tiyulim in Hebrew) will include:

March 21-23 – Three-day tour of The Galilee region of Northern Israel

• Hike on Mt. Gilboa, site of ancient battles between King Saul and the Philistines (approximately 2500 years ago)
• Swim in natural springs of Sachne
• Visit ancient city of Tiberias on shores of Sea of Galilee
• Accommodations at Karei Deshe youth hostel on Sea of Galilee
• Hike on Mt. Meron for panoramic viewpoint of Galilee region
• Visit Christian Arab town of Peki’in for lunch
• Visit Kibbutz Manara for cable car ride and mountain rides
• Visit and have educational program at Ghetto Fighters Holocaust Museum
• Short visit to city of Akko on Mediterranean Sea
• Visit ancient Roman ruins at Caesaria on beach

March 27-28 – Overnight adventure camping trip with Israeli hosts

• Ropes course and guided hike in southern Judean Desert

March 30-31 – Excursion to Dead Sea

• Hike in canyons
• Float on Dead Sea
• Tour ancient Herodean fortress of Masada
• Hike up springs of Ein Gedi
